Geely EX2 confirmed for Geely Auto Australia in 2026

Underpinned by the same Global Intelligent Electric Architecture (GEA) platform as the Geely EX5 EV and Starray EM-i Super Hybrid, the Geely EX2 is an example of the platform’s flexibility in modular design.

The addition of the Geely EX2 marks Geely Auto Australia’s debut into the compact city car segment and reaffirms Geely’s commitment to making innovative, new energy mobility accessible to a wide range of buyers as the brand’s entry model.

The Geely EX2 aims to elevate urban commuting, combining a playful aesthetic with a tech-driven cabin and comfortable yet nimble drive. Despite its compact footprint (L 4,135 x W 1,805 x H 1,580 mm and a 2,650 mm wheelbase), the Geely EX2 demonstrates exceptional use of interior space with over 30 thoughtfully placed storage compartments, including a ‘frunk’ under the bonnet.

Its exterior design incorporates a ‘smile face’ front design, complemented by clean body lines and a selection of pastel exterior colour options.

The Geely EX2, known as the Xingyuan (translates to Star Wish) in its home market, is the overall bestselling vehicle in China in 2025, selling over 400,000 units in the 12 months since its launch - including 50,000 units in September 2025 alone.
